Through the Mahalaxmi Panchang (Dindarshike), we preserve the ancient science of astrology while delivering accurate, authentic, and reliable almanacs every year.
Sneha Prakashan LLP was founded in 1989 by Mr. Santram H. Tikare with the launch of the Mahalaxmi Calendar. Despite not owning a printing press in the early days, his dedication and vision helped the company grow into one of Karnataka’s leading calendar publishers, producing millions of calendars annually.
Our approach combines tradition with innovation. While staying true to the timeless knowledge of astrology, we use modern printing technology and digital platforms to ensure superior quality and easy accessibility through mobile applications.
Sneha Prakashan LLP was founded in 1989 by Mr. Santram H. Tikare, a visionary artist renowned for his deep knowledge of astrology, photography, and creative arts. What began as a passion-driven initiative soon evolved into a trusted publishing house, dedicated to preserving and sharing traditional astrological wisdom. Over the years, the organization has grown steadily, earning the confidence of millions of readers and establishing itself as a respected name in calendar and Panchang publishing.
Driven by his passion for astrology, Mr. Tikare created the Mahalaxmi Varshik Panchang (Dindarshike), which soon became a trusted almanac among Marathi, Kannada-speaking households.
Beginning his career in photography in 1972, Mr. Tikare expanded into video production before launching the Mahalaxmi Calendar in 1990. Despite printing challenges, his perseverance led to widespread success across Karnataka.
Starting with 10,000 copies sold door-to-door, the calendar’s popularity grew rapidly. Today, Mahalaxmi Calendar records annual sales of over 10–12 lakh copies, making it one of Karnataka’s most trusted calendars.
Today, Sneha Prakashan LLP operates a modern printing and binding unit in Karad M.I.D.C., Satara. The company also expanded into Marathi publishing with the Arunoday Calendar, serving a wider audience.
Embracing modern marketing, the company promotes its calendars through TV, FM radio, print media, and digital platforms. Mobile applications launched in 2016 (Android) and 2023 (iOS) allow users instant access to the Panchang.
